Library Kiosk/Shelving Aide

Columbia, MO / Circulation / Part Time

HOURS/DAYS:  Please review hours for availability. Most of the scheduled hours will be at the Kiosk.

Part-time (average of 10 hours per week)  Wednesday 4pm-7pm, Thursday 12pm-4pm, Friday 8am-11am

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:  Under direct supervision, the Aide performs routine repetitive clerical duties involving shelving, shifting and shelf-reading library materials, assisting with the holds process, providing excellent customer service by assisting patrons with food and beverage orders and handling cash and debit/credit transactions.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  Completion of tenth grade or equivalent and must be 16 years of age and prefer some work experience. Kiosk workers will be required to have a food handlers card from the Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health.  If the applicant does not already have one, he/she will be required to complete a one hour training course prior to working a regular shift.

 

HOURLY SALARY:  $9.04 per hour

 

BENEFITS: There are no benefits with this position, but employees of DBRL can participate in the Employee Assistance Program.
