Callaway County Public Library Services Manager

Fulton, MO / Callaway County Public Library / Full Time

HOURS/DAYS:  Full-time, exempt position – working 40 hours per week


  •  ​Manages the overall functions of Callaway County public library services and represents the library to the community.
  • This position has primary responsibility for excellent customer service and community relations, strengthening community engagement and partnership development, and oversight of staff, collections, programs and services for all Callaway county branches.
  • Serve as a member of DBRL’s management team and participate in the strategic planning process.
  • This individual must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, and enjoy the administrative challenges of working with an outstanding group of diverse people and projects.  Work is performed with considerable independent judgment and initiative.  

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  MLS from an accredited institution; minimum three years increasingly responsible library experience including supervision.  Prefer five years of experience in a public library with two or more years of staff supervisory experience, collection development and reference experience.  Prefer previous experience working with rural communities. Must have demonstrated organizational and project management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and supervisory skills as well as high customer service orientation.

SALARY:  $56,881.27 annually
